Radiological Observation on Urolithiasis including Ureterovesical Junction Stone

Abstract
A radiological observation was made on 76 cases of urolithiasis among the number of 68 patients during 3 years from March, 1982 to February, 1985.
The results were summarized as follows.
1. There were 42 men and 26 women, a ratio of 1.6 : 1. The highest incidence in age of 21 to 50 years(75%)
2. Locational distributions of urolithiasis were 57 cases (75%) in the ureters, 18 cases (23.7%) in the kidneys, 1 case (1.3%) in the bladder.
3. Among the 57 cases of ureteral stone, the highest incidence on 35 cases (61.4%) of UVJ stone.
4. Distribution of UVJ stone on the 4 quadrants of small pelvic cavity area, 11 cases (31.4%) on the LLQ, 10 cases (28.6%) on the LUQ, 9 cases(25.7%) on the RUQ, 5 cases (14.3%) on the RLQ.
5. The ratio of distribution of UVJ stone on the upper & lower half division or left & right half division of small pelvic cavity area. The ratio of upper & lower half division was 1.2 : 1. The ratio of left & right half division was 1.5 : 1.
6. The size of urinary stone except for renal stone, was below 0.5cm in length in 28 cases (48.3%). Among the 35 cases of UVJ stone, the size below 0.5cm in length was 22 cases (62.9%).
